Republic of Remy is a mother–daughter team passionate about sewing, design, and helping entrepreneurs showcase their brands with style.

• Sylvia “Liz” Klimicek proudly served in the United States Military and as an analyst in the corporate world before dedicating her life to the arts. A true creative, she has spent decades exploring diverse mediums including watercolor, jewelry-making, glass beadwork, silversmithing, enameling, bookbinding, and digital art. She also passed on her love of sewing to her daughters at an early age, teaching them the skills and creativity that now shape Republic of Remy.

• Maria Prachyl grew up immersed in that creative environment, learning to sew, knit, and crochet from both her mother and grandmother. By the age of five, she was already mending her own clothes, and by high school, she was designing and wearing her own creations. Later, she pursued a degree in advertising and marketing, blending her artistic roots with a sharp understanding of branding and business.

Together, this mother–daughter duo brings a unique blend of discipline, artistry, and entrepreneurial spirit to every project.

You may also recognize them as the founders of GLITTERBAR Houston and St. Louis—so don’t be surprised if a touch of sparkle finds its way into their embroidery designs. For Liz and Maria, creativity has always been a way to connect as a family, and now, they’re excited to share that love with you.
